I Got A New Printer & Silhouette Portrait 4!

Need I say more! Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and whatever gift giving holiday is out there I feel like I just won the lottery as a sticker/stationery business that is looking to grow her shop.
“But Bethanie, what printer did you get and why are you excited about the Portrait 4?” - no one but hopefully you who may or may not be reading this.
My printer I bought is a Canon Pixma, more specifically a PIXMA TS9520a Inkjet printer. I bought it off of the Canon website directly. I do think the prep to getting the printer to be on wi-fi was a bit challenging to a point I had to get some help from my husband, but otherwise I am hoping it will be a lot smoother for others. Once we got it running and I ran a couple of test prints I was absolutely thrilled with the print quality on the sticker paper I bought. (Photo 1)
I am so happy with how this came out! The colors are accurate to what I illustrated with on my programs.
NOTE: In a later date once I get to experimenting with different sticker paper, laminates, and the silhouette I want to be able to provide a guide for best settings to make for sticker sheets and kiss-cutting!
The silhouette I justified by not so much the cost of the sticker (it’s not a huge change unless you are doing small batches of stickers like me and really don’t sell much). The biggest selling point to having this was the time I would be saving. When you buy from a vendor you have to wait for it to be shipped and also your minimum sticker amount was still pretty high.
With this new combo I get to produce way more, make sticker sheets at a much cheaper rate, and expand to more products like magnets, bookmarks, shrinky-dink pins, and buttons!
I have so much planned in store with these new products in mind. I want to rest assured that the quality of my stickers are not going away either, if anything I get to offer so much more and I’m so excited.
